Herbs and Natural Supplements Inkling: An Evidence-Based Guide Review
I'm a pharmacy student so understanding medical terminology comes a bit easier to me. This book is great if you can understand it because a huge majority of the book (the descriptions of the herbs in particular) is written in a clinical style. It very much resembles a monograph in an internet database or a package insert to a medication.Having said that, this book is very detailed. It has a good amount of information regarding mechanisms of actions, clinical uses and adverse effects. I would recommend this book if you are very familiar with the workings of the human body or at least, have some basic pharmacology knowledge. Otherwise, this book can seem a bit confusing.
A good reference to have in any clinical library.
Plus, the added option of downloading the book on a computer, ipad, or netbook is an added bonus. A good option if you don't want to carry around the book all day.
